Why are you participating?
My mother passed away from metastatic breast cancer in 2013 at the age of 58. Before she died, Komen played a big part in reaching out and helping giver her hope. She was an oncology nurse all her life, and I grew up around her patients. I'm excited about taking part in such a fun venture to do my part.
I love LSU. But when I met my husband on Match.com 8 years ago, he is a die hard Longhorns fan. So I love making fun of my "House Divided". We both have teenage sons. Henry is 14, and Jeff is 15. They are two hilarious kids, and I love being a mom/step-mom, even though all I do is feed them and drive them around.
What is your greatest achievement?
Getting afternoon drive on Eagle 98.1. Radio gigs are rare these days. Afternoon drive on Eagle has never bee held by a female, and I was chosen to replace Scotty Drake who retired from Eagle after 31 years.
What brightens your day?
Making our clients & listeners happy, but mostly that moment when I get home and my kids and husband are happy to see me.
What is your favorite vacation spot? Why?
The beach. Any vacation is my favorite when you get to turn off your phone and kick back and relax.
